The date was 22 March 2007, and 12-year-old me was about to witness one of the most life-changing shows of my life. That night, I walked out of Birmingham’s NIA (as it was known back then) no longer a casual My Chemical Romance fan. Instead, a full-fledged obsession began, one that would last for years, right up until their heartbreaking “break up” in 2013. This was the night of the original Black Parade tour. This was my band.
