Dark Funeral Release Live Album A Beast To Praise and New Stockholm Live Video
Swedish black metal heavyweights Dark Funeral have officially released their new live album, A Beast To Praise, through Century Media Records.
The 13-track release was recorded at Stockholm's Fållan in 2022, capturing the band's return to the stage following the pandemic. Spanning almost 70 minutes, the album brings together material from across Dark Funeral's catalogue, including several tracks from their 2022 album We Are The Apocalypse.
Alongside the album's release, the band have shared a new live video for “Nail Them To The Cross”, filmed during the same Stockholm performance.
The live album documents what Lord Ahriman describes as a significant night for Dark Funeral, with the atmosphere and intensity of the Fållan show making it much more than a standard live recording. The band see A Beast To Praise as the closing chapter of the We Are The Apocalypse era.
The album features 13 tracks, including “The Arrival Of Satan's Empire”, “My Funeral”, “Leviathan”, “We Are The Apocalypse”, “Vobiscum Satanas”, “Nail Them To The Cross” and “Where Shadows Forever Reign”.
A Beast To Praise is available digitally, on CD and across several vinyl editions, including a limited transparent red pressing.
Dark Funeral will continue their live campaign this autumn with the In League With Satan European tour alongside Behemoth and Dimmu Borgir. The tour includes a hometown show at Stockholm's Hovet on 29 October, alongside dates across Germany, France, Italy, Finland and several other European countries.
With the We Are The Apocalypse cycle now drawing to an end, Dark Funeral are already working towards their next chapter, with new material currently being developed for a planned 2027 studio album.
